Room 102 had a good view of the sunsets, reliable AC in the heat, and double-pane windows for a quiet environment. Clean accommodations meant a comfortable retreat after a long day.
A couple of issues arose, such as the flood on one side of the street limiting access by car, which seems to have been an ongoing problem for months. The building felt dated and underwhelming, lacking the charm suggested by previous reviews.

rooftop terrace, spacious clean rooms, balcony overlooking the lake
No complimentary purified water, needing to pay for basic hydration!!! The night shift staff could improve communication to avoid unnecessary disturbances like 3am knockings!!! Tour prices were unreasonably high compared to local options!!!

The staff, especially Rudy at reception, was excellent in organizing our tour to Tikal, made our experience hassle-free.
We experienced some discomfort due to a noisy group that disturbed our sleep late at night, highlighting a need for better noise management.

The accommodation has been completely renovated. Everything is very harmonious. The rooms are therefore super new and very clean and offer lots of space. There is also a terrace on the top floor from where you have a great view of the lake and can watch the sunset. Next door there are restaurants and bars. Although there is no breakfast, coffee and pastries are still available in the morning. This hotel is really recommendable!

great location but noisy neighbors
The location is unbeatable, right by the scenic lake. My room was clean. I loved relaxing on the nice deck on the third floor. It offered fine views. Being so close to local restaurants and attractions was a fantastic bonus.
Unfortunately, noise from neighboring guests disrupted my sleep on more than one occasion.
